REGISTRATON: 2021 Padres Fall Performance Program

Registration is now open for the 2021 Padres Fall Performance Program (FPP) – players register for and compete at the age level they will play in for the 2022 season. This program provides elite development in a competitive environment with focus on tactical aspects of the game. Arm care, speed and agility, strength and conditioning, mental skills and technical aspects are also included. FPP sets the foundation for individual development plans during the High Performance Program (HPP).

Proudly constructed under the Edmonton Padres brand, players from across the region are welcome to participate in FPP and HPP. Also, any coaches in the region looking to build their experience may contact John Sutherland at jsoco57@live.com to express interest.

Central Canadian Baseball League

The Edmonton Padres have partnered with academy programs from across the Canadian Prairies to provide players with enhanced exposure and competition levels during the fall. Joining the Padres are the Calgary Bucks and programs from Lloydminster, Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg to form the Central Canadian Baseball League. Made up of programs with similar mindsets, this elite fall league features goals of developing and showcasing its players while working together to offer the highest quality of fall baseball league play on the Prairies. Divisions will include 18U Varsity, 18U Junior Varsity and 15U levels of play. The 18U Varsity and Junior Varsity league schedules will begin on Labour Day Weekend and wrap up with a college showcase/all-star event at the state-of-the-art Gordie Howe Sports Complex in Saskatoon while the 15U division will run for 4-6 weeks, depending on weather. Although there is a 13U division planned by the league, the Padres have opted out for 2021.

18U Padres FPP

Worked in and around the CCBL schedule, the 18U Padres FPP team(s) will participate in three showcase tournaments this fall:

• Keith Jorgensen Memorial hosted by AABC – Lethbridge/Vauxhall – Labour Day Weekend
• Premier Showcase hosted by Okanagan College – Kelowna – October 1-3, 2021
• 18U Turkey Challenge hosted by Big League Experience – Kamloops – October 8-11, 2021

Registration Fee: $500 + travel expenses

The 15U Padres FPP team will compete in a 4-6 week fall season as part of the CCBL and may also participate in the following tournament, based on team/family interest:

• 15U Turkey Challenge hosted by Big League Experience – Kamloops – October 8-11, 2021

Registration Fee: $350 + travel expenses

The 13U Padres FPP team will participate in the 4-week Baseball Alberta Fall Ball League with the opportunity to pick up additional games with regional programs offering a similar type of fall experience and may also participate in the following tournament, based on team/family interest:

• 13U Turkey Challenge hosted by Big League Experience – Kamloops – October 8-11, 2021

The 11U Padres Fall Ball team will participate in the 4-week Baseball Alberta Fall Ball League with the opportunity to pick up additional games with regional communities.
