Padres 15U Zelaya Downs competed at 16U Girls Nationals in Halifax over the weekend and was a major contributor on the mound and at the plate in Team Alberta’s silver medal performance. Downs was especially strong in the semifinal against Nova Scotia, doubling in extra innings and pitching in the 10-9 win to send Alberta to the championship game.
